Sending Love
We are living through extraordinary times at the moment. It sometimes feels like we’re in a horror movie when shopping in a panic-ridden supermarket or driving down Ireland’s busiest motorway with hardly a car on it. We can so easily get over-absorbed in the grim news headlines everyday, and although it is vital to be up to date with the latest developments and guidelines (from legitimate news sources, always), it is also very important to step away from it all, and find positive and happy things to fill your time with. Read a book, go for a peaceful walk, watch a film, write a letter, send a card.
Due to the increase in people undertaking self-isolation or limiting their social movements, I am offering to hand write greeting cards purchased in store, and post them directly to your someone special. It’s times like these that a greeting card, or a cheerful print can really brighten ones spirits during a lonely and uncertain time - a paper hug is just as good as a real one! Just leave a note during checkout with your message and the recipients address. This send direct service is available for both greeting cards and art prints, with prints specially gift-wrapped free of charge. Any personal messages are always treated with the strictest of confidence.
As a freelance illustrator and a small business owner, these are unsettling times for us. As a nation we are amazing at coming together to help each other out. Please support your local small businesses as much as you can - we appreciate it more now than ever. When you purchase from my shop, you’re also supporting four more small Irish businesses - my local post office, my packaging supplier, my printer, and my recycled cardboard supplier. Thank you.
Take care and look after each other, Rachel x
